Native to the beautiful mountain state of West Virginia, Garry & Donna Allmon live in the capitol city of Charleston. Donna designed the Carousel Box while getting her Interior Design Degree from Cleveland Community College. Since then, Gary, with his contractor skills, started looking at the construction aspect of the Carousel Boxes. He worked with a mechanical engineering firm to develop the fingerlike device that creates the folds in the top of the boxes. Now, the Appalachian Container Company, located in the USA, can put together 750 Carousel Boxes per hour. How many do you need?

Carousel Box Uses

"I made this container in the shape of a teacup to hold gourmet tea bags," Donna said. Over the years, customers have been very creative in their use of the Carousel Box. For example, a Mary Kay cosmetics dealer purchased them to give her product delivery a distinctive look. Our Christmas Box is especially popular for gift giving, though any of our boxes can be used for that purpose.

Patented Design

Working with patent attorneys, Gary secured the first patent for his wife's design in 1998. Gary & Donna Allmon now hold four box design patents. "There's nothing else like it registered with the patent office," Gary said. A patent is also pending on the machine that Gary designed to manufacture the Carousel Boxes here in the USA.
